Need to Know

  • A non-refundable retainer of $100 (or 25% of total for events) is required to confirm all bookings. This retainer reserves your date exclusively and is treated as liquidated damages in the event of cancellation — it is non-refundable under all circumstances. The remaining balance is due on or before the day of your session. Bookings are not confirmed until the retainer is received.
  • Lateness Policy: Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled session time so we can begin on time. A late arrival will result in a shortened session — your end time does not move.
    • Up to 15 minutes late: Session continues for remaining booked time, no additional charge.
    • 5–30 minutes late: Session continues for remaining time. A $25 late fee applies.
    • 30+ minutes late: Session may be forfeited at photographer's discretion. Retainer is not refunded.
  • If you choose your own location:
    • You are responsible for confirming the location allows photography.
    • If a permit is required, obtaining and paying for that permit is your responsibility.
    • Parking fees or access fees at your chosen location are your responsibility.
  • Cancellation Policy: All retainers are non-refundable. If you cancel your session, the retainer is forfeited regardless of timing or reason.
  • Rescheduling: One complimentary reschedule is permitted with at least 48 hours notice. Rescheduling within 48 hours of your session will require a new retainer. I will make every effort to accommodate your new date based on my availability.
  • Client No-Show: If a client fails to appear at the scheduled time and location without prior notice, the session is forfeited and the full session fee is due.
  • Photographer Cancellation: In the rare event I must cancel due to illness or emergency, I will provide a full refund of all payments made and assist in finding a qualified replacement photographer if desired.
  • Weather Policy: Light rain, clouds, or overcast skies do not constitute grounds for cancellation or rescheduling — some of my favorite sessions happen on overcast days.
 
  • Extreme weather rescheduling (at no additional cost) applies when: a severe weather warning or watch is issued by the National Weather Service for the shoot location, conditions present a genuine safety risk (lightning, tornado warning, ice, extreme heat advisory), or the shoot location is officially closed.
 
  • The final call on weather rescheduling is made by the photographer between 24–3 hours before the session. No-fee reschedules due to weather are available once per booking.
 
  • Force Majeure: Neither party is held liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather events, government-declared emergencies, or public health emergencies.
  • In the unlikely event that Pics by Dell is unable to perform services due to equipment failure, illness, injury, or circumstances beyond my control, liability is limited to the return of all payments received. In the event photographic files are lost, damaged, or corrupted beyond my control, liability is limited to the total amount paid under the agreement.
  • There is a traveling fee of $0.65 per mile outside of the DFW area.​
  •  An Inquiry/Booking form must be completed for all photoshoots.​​
  • Studio options include price of studio.
  • Bookings must be done at least one week before planned shoot date. No booking is confirmed until the photographer has a consultation with the client.
  • ​Guests & Spectators: You are welcome to bring guests to your session, but please keep it to 2–3 people maximum. This is your session — a crowd can affect your comfort, focus, and the energy of the shoot.
  • Clients will receive a preview album with watermarked, unedited images to select which photos they would like edited.
     
  • The standard turnaround time for the images of the photoshoot is 5 business days. Unless stated from myself, expedited turnaround times will come with a fee depending on the timeline. This service is not always available. Inquire about this service before booking.
     
  • All unedited photos can be purchased for 100% of the shoot price. Additional edits may be purchased at $15 an image.
     
  • An additional outfit change can be added for $25 to any package. An additional location can be added for $40 to any package. Additional images will be granted with any add-ons to a selected package.

  • Themed shoots prices vary. Please inquire about them when selecting your package.

  • *All photographs created by Pics by Dell remain the exclusive copyright and intellectual property of Cordell Echols / Pics by Dell. Clients receive a personal-use license to share, display, and print their images for non-commercial purposes. Images may not be sold, altered, or used for commercial purposes without written permission. Pics by Dell reserves the right to use images for portfolio, website, and social media promotion unless a privacy agreement is signed.

  • What you CAN do with your photos:

    • Share on social media, personal websites, and messaging apps

    • Print for personal use (cards, frames, gifts, yearbooks)

    • Use for personal school or organization submissions

  • What you CANNOT do without written permission: 

    • Apply heavy filters, edits, or alterations that change my editing style

    • Use images for commercial, advertising, or business purposes

    • sell images to any publication or third party • Submit images to photo contests or stock libraries

  • Social media: Yes, please share! When you do, a tag or photo credit (@picsbydell) is appreciated but not required. Please don't apply additional filters — the photos are already edited to my standard.
